Summer Reading Programs
06/10/2010 - 8:30am

As the year is ending and we are saying good bye for the summer (and farewell to our seniors - good luck to you!), please do not stop reading!

Reading during the summer will help you not be bored during those hot hours of the day when there is nothing to do but lie around, and will help you keep up your reading skills for next school year.

News from the Library Media Center - April 2010
04/22/2010 - 9:50am

My name is Elsa Prettol and I’m the librarian at Natomas Charter School. This has been my first year working here, and it has been a most happy and gratifying year! I have only met kindness and support from students and their parents as well as staff and teachers, which made it easier for me to make the Library Media Center a welcoming place to find resources for homework and books to read for pleasure.

Changes in Library Media Center Policies
01/29/2010 - 11:02am

Thanks to all the donations from parents and the books that I have purchased with the money from the Barnes & Noble Book Fair, we have increased our collection by 19% in 8 months! This means that I can now change our policy and allow students to check out not two, but three books at the same time! This is effective starting Monday, February 1st, 2010.

Complete the Series for Parent Hours!
01/12/2010 - 2:28pm

The Library has many different series in its collection (e.g.: Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, The Princess Diaries, Redwall, etc...), but some of them are not complete on our shelves.

If you want to help us complete those series and earn parent hours at the same time, go to our Wish List on Amazon and buy books for us! (http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/3OGST85NCU4SD)

Crediting you with your parents hours will be easily done if you include a gift note (free) with your name as well as your student's name and program.

Looking for parent hours opportunities?
12/09/2009 - 11:40am

Parents,

If you are looking for parent hours opportunities to reach the mid-year quota, please remember that donations to the Library Media Center will give you parent hours!

Two sorts of donations will be accepted: you can bring your gently used books (no crime novels please) to the Media Center, or you may purchase books from our Amazon Wish list.
