Did you know that only 38% of people in the U.S. are eligible to donate blood on any given day, and less than 10% actually do?
That someone in the United States receives a blood transfusion every 2 seconds?
That approximately 40,000 pints of blood are used each day in the United States?
If you are 16 years old or older, weigh 110 pounds or more, and are in good health, you can help! Natomas Charter School's 2nd Annual Blood Drive will take place on Friday, April 8th. Sign up with Ms. Prettol at the LMC (eouvrard-prettol@natomas.k12.ca.us, or 916-928-5353 *295). It is first come, first served, so do not wait until the last minute!
Donors will receive a snack and t-shirt for participating. If you cannot participate in the blood drive, you can still help. The blood drive will be open not just for students and staff, but for parents and community members as well. Spread the word and ask people who are interested to email Ms. Prettol to sign up or ask any question they may have.
Blood donors: YOU do save lives.
