California Department of Education provides parent and teacher resources, budget and performance data, grants, legislation, and general educational information.

U.S. Department of Education Office of Civil Rights explains the rights and responsibilities of students with disabilities who are preparing to attend postsecondary schools.

National Association for College Admission Counseling provides several links to websites that offer resources for students with special needs.

Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS) provides a wide array of supports to parents and individuals, school districts, and states in three main areas: special education, vocational education, and research.

American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is the professional, scientific, and credentialing association for audiologists, speech-language pathologists, and speech, language, and hearing scientists.  The public information section offers resources to help non-professionals understand communication and communication disorders.
